In this program, educators become part of a year-long cohort of Fellows that includes educators, artists, and researchers. 

"The program aims to inspire transdisciplinary education about science in the polar regions, integrating art-based and science-based methods to promote critical thinking and engagement opportunities for learners."

"Professional Development curriculum is integrated into the Polar STEAM program for all participants. Mentorship is provided in learning about STEAM integrations and in co-creating educational resources or artistic works. Through learning from national experts and looking through an interdisciplinary lens, all participants can build upon their professional practice."

The cohort year is aimed at educators of grades 6-12, as well as informal educators who can incorporate polar science education into their work.
