What You'll Learn

In this workshop, teachers can join Billion Oyster Project staff to learn best practices for bringing students into the field, tips to help you prepare for field teaching, and potential activities to help you get started on your field-teaching journey.
It is understandable that bringing students into the field can be intimidating and challenging, this workshop aims to alleviate some of those fears and build your confidence as a field teacher.

"At Billion Oyster Project, we strongly believe that outdoor learning can encompass any educational discipline and that field learning is possible and engaging for all age groups.

In this session teachers can expect to:
1) Engage with best practices for planning and preparing field-based learning experiences
2) Explore BOPs curricular offerings, and consider how they can be used in your classroom and in the field
3) Connect with other Billion Oyster Project teachers"
