Synopsis
This website and image library contains more than 1,000 climate change images, as well as links to videos, news articles, and background information on the Climate Visuals evidence base.
Students learn how Climate Outreach uses outdoor photography to promote diversity, represent Indigenous people, and promote positivity and action against climate change.
Pair students up and have them choose an article in the "News" tab to read, then discuss new learning and write a brief summary.
Under the "Climate Outreach" tab, have students watch the animated videos and then discuss new learning in groups.
Since this resource aims to capture authentic images, as well as to represent Indigenous people, consider using these images to support another resource, such as Introduction to Indigenous Climate Solutions.
Have students use the "Collections" tab to do a deeper dive into a specific theme, writing about observations and emotions experienced while viewing the images.
This image library could be used to supplement a language arts research project on climate change or to provide people-centered visuals to bring other climate topics to life for students.
