Synopsis
This Nature Lab lesson takes students on a virtual field trip, discusses natural climate solutions, and encourages students to think about the various ways climate change affects different communities.
Students learn about climate change, the effects of climate change on those cities, and mitigation efforts.
A step-by-step teacher guide with discussion questions, video links, and optional resources to supplement the lesson.
Adaptable for elementary and middle school grade levels.
Can be incorporated into different subject areas (e.g. science, geography, etc).
Multiple lesson options.
Additional Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with certain vocabulary words pertaining to climate change. There is a vocabulary list offered in the lesson guide.
Differentiation
Videos provide closed captioning for ESE and ELL accommodations.
Lessons can be adapted to different grade levels and standards.
