Synopsis

  • This lesson introduces the Menominee Sturgeon as ancient relatives, exploring Menominee storytelling.

  • Students will watch a live underwater sturgeon webcam, then walk to a nearby waterway to read We Are Water Protectors and discuss how they can protect the water in their own area during this 45-minute lesson.

  • The lesson also includes vocabulary words in the Menominee language.
