Synopsis
- This first 19-minute podcast episode of the series from Blue Lab at Princeton University discusses lithium mining and the difference between pro-mine media messaging and the reality of lithium mines, the issues surrounding them, and whether or not they are necessary.
- Students will hear how the media is pushing lithium mining as a necessary step in the fight against climate change, various perspectives against lithium mining, and begin to hear about a proposed lithium mine in Gaston County, North Carolina, and the problems it is causing for residents.
